Thomas Rhett loves writing with his dad…
Congratulations again to Luke Combs and Eric Church. The pair have returned for a second week atop the Mediabase chart with their big collaboration, “Does to Me,” which Luke also co-wrote.
Thomas Rhett says his favorite person to write songs with happens to be his famous songwriter father Rhett Akins. In fact, the father-son combo are frequent co-writers and have penned a string of hits together.
Thomas said, “Even though I write with a bunch of other people, my dad and I do have a pretty special bond. Probably because he’s my dad, but he’s also like a really good friend of mine and a really fun co-writer.”
The father and son co-wrote some of Thomas’s hits like “Star of the Show,” “Life Changes,” and “Look What God Gave Her.”
