The Dixie Chicks are now The Chicks…
CMA Summer Stay-Cay performers announced…
The Dixie Chicks changed their name. They are now The Chicks.
The switch was apparently made to reflect social changes.
Under their new name on their website they wrote, “We want to meet this moment.”
There is a group in New Zealand named The Chicks, but the girls reached out to them and got permission to use the name.
The Chicks new album Gaslighter — their first in 14 years — comes out July 17th.
