Maren Morris has laid down the vocals for her sophomore album. That means the finished record could be coming soon.
It has been more than two years since Maren released her debut album, and she says we can expect to hear the first single off her sophomore album in a couple months.
She shared some more details about the project, including that there will be two collaborations, as well as that the new album contains her favorite tune that she’s ever written — a song about girls.
Maren will be at Blossom with Niall Horan on August 29th.
Jason Aldean wanted Miranda Lambert to sing with him on his album, Rearview Town, but she didn’t love the first song he sent her.
He said, “I had a song in mind and I sent it to her. She was kind of iffy and I said, ‘Hey listen, if you don’t like it that’s cool. I want you to love whatever we do. I’ve got this other thing I’ll send you and see if you like it better.’ So I sent her ‘Drowns the Whiskey’ and she loved that song.”
The rest is history because “Drowns the Whiskey” is already a Top 5 hit.
