Ashley McBryde to be honored by the CMT…
Garth Brooks will receive the Library of Congress Gershwin Award for Popular Music.
The award recognizes living musical artists and their lifetime achievements. Garth is the youngest musician to receive the honor.
He’ll get the prize at an all-star tribute concert in Washington, D.C. in March. The concert will air on PBS stations later in the spring.
Past recipients of the award are Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Carole King, Billy Joel, Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson, Tony Bennett, and Gloria Estefan.
Ashley McBryde has been named CMT Breakout Artist of the Year.
She’ll be honored at the annual Artists of the Year event alongside Carrie Underwood, Dan and Shay, Kane Brown, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett. Reba McEntire will receive the Artist of a Lifetime award.
CMT’s Artist of the Year show will air live from Nashville’s Symphony Center on Wednesday, October 16th.
