Luke Bryan is still at #1…
Maren Morris is at #1 on the pop charts…
Sugarland are back in a big way…
Luke Bryan scored a two-week number-one with “Most People Are Good” this week.
He said when he played the song for his mother the line ‘most mothers ought to qualify for sainthood’ made her cry and he knows his wife should definitely be a saint.
Maren Morris has racked up her first number-one on the pop charts. “The Middle,” her collaboration with Zedd and Grey, takes the top spot on Billboard’s Top Pop Songs radio airplay chart.
Maren is the sixth artist to have topped both Country Airplay and Pop Songs, after Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Tim McGraw, Pink and Taylor Swift.
She already has two country number-ones to her name: “I Could Use a Love Song” and “Craving You” with Thomas Rhett.
Sugarland are back in big way with their new album Bigger, which comes out on June 8th.
They say the album will feature songs about empowerment and rising above the chaos in the world. Sugarland kick off their Still the Same tour on May 4th and will stop at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown on July 13th.
