Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest just added more country to the mix- Blake Shelton will be joining from Las Vegas. Also added to the fun- ERNEST, HARDY and Dasha.
They join previously announced country artists Megan Moroney, Carrie Underwood, Cody Johnson and Thomas Rhett.
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest airs December 31st ABC and streams the next day on Hulu.
Blake Shelton is also going to produce a documentary about the late country music star Keith Whitley.
Starting in January, his production company will begin work on the first ever film chronicling the life of the Keith. The film will take a deep dive into the legend’s life and struggles with addiction, as well as the impact and influence he had so many other country artists.
Keith died May 9th, 1989 at the age of 34, of alcohol poisoning. He was scheduled to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry later in May.
