The ACM Awards picked a date…
Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” is the number-one song on Billboard’s year-end Hot Country Songs list for 2017.
Brett Young’s “In Case You Didn’t Know” takes second place. Luke Combs’s “Hurricane,” grabs third, followed by Kane Brown’s “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina in fourth and Dustin Lynch’s “Small Town Boy” is in fifth.
The list is put together using a bunch a data, including sales, streaming and airplay.
Sam Hunt has also been named Billboard’s Top Country Artist of the Year. He’s number one because of “Body Like a Back Road.” The song spent 34 weeks on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart.
Chris Stapleton came in second. Rounding out the Top 5 are Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line and Luke Combs.
And it was announced yesterday that the 53rd annual ACM Awards will air live from Las Vegas in the MGM Grand on Sunday, April 15th on CBS.
