It has been a week since the CMA Awards. One week since Sugarland came on stage to announce Vocal Duo of the Year. One week since they teased a reunion, one week since they performed together for the first time in over 5 years, a week since they confirmed new music and a tour.
Sugarland released their last album together over 7 years ago, last toured together over 5 years ago. We fans, (my hand is raised) have been waiting for this moment for a long time! I lost my mind to say the LEAST! I never lost faith that this day would come for what ever reasons. I would wait forever, and there were days I thought I would have to. Jennifer and Kristian each had a hand at solo careers and I was first in line to buy the CDs and sing my face off at their shows, but I missed the fun and magic of SUGARLAND!
I don’t know what to expect with this new music and the hashtag #stillthesame, but what I do know is I am ready to make some fantastic Sugarland head gear, show up at their show and dance and sing my face off. I am calling this my Closure Tour. I don’t know what the future holds for my favorite duo, I hope it is hit after hit and tour after tour, but I get another round with my sugars and I AM SO EXCITED I can barely stand to be around myself!
I have this fantasy that I will get to one day sing on stage with them. I have perfected it in my mind these past few years. I am nuts, but I digress. Dreams come true in Sugarland, and I will be ready if they ever need me! So get ready my Sugar friends, I will see you under the sweet, sweet skies of SUGARLAND! Yassssssssss!
